How to Create a Longterm Online Business
Learning about the types of weekly payout affiliate programs that are out there is one thing. Making steady income with them is another.
Many beginner to intermediate affiliate marketers struggle with making steady commissions online. I understand because I used to have the same struggles.
It wasn’t until I created a niche website that everything changed for me in terms of affiliate earnings. My first successful niche website generated commissions for me month after month and it still earns income today.
Since then, I’ve created other niche websites and my second one also generates steady commissions month after month.
A niche website is simply a website that focuses on one topic. When I got started, I didn’t know how to make money with a website.
I didn’t want to spend a lot of time trying to figure it all out on my own so I searched for a step-by-step training program.
By following that program and taking action on everything that I learned, I was able to transition out of a full-time retail job to working on my website full time.
What a Niche Website Consists Of
You don’t need much to start your own niche website. I recommend using a self-hosted WordPress website. Meaning, register your own domain name, getting web hosting, and installing WordPress on your account.
All of that is really easy to do with just about any web hosting company out there. Most of them will automatically install WordPress for you and those that don’t make it easy to do with a click of a button.
Once you have your website up, it is a matter of creating content (also known as blog posts) for your niche audience.
I accomplish this by doing some keyword research and finding out what the people in my niche are searching for.
Let’s say I chose one of the affiliate programs above such as Ruvi. It is a powdered health drink. I would then focus on a niche within the overall health & fitness niche.

Once I’ve chosen a niche, I then do keyword research and find out what people in that niche need help with.
This is easy to do by opening up Google Search and typing in keywords that your niche audience would search for. Google Search will then offer up autosuggestions in the form of keyword phrases.
You can make a list of these keyword phrases and have an unlimited supply of content ideas. Content is the key to getting free targeted traffic to your website.
When I write a new blog post, I can expect it to start getting traffic anywhere from 3 to 6 months of writing it. Now imagine if I write content one to two times per week (which I do) and how much targeted those posts can generate.
That is how you get visitors that are highly interested in the products you are promoting.
