How to Make Money From Eco-Friendly Affiliate Programs

My preferred method for making money from affiliate programs is to create a niche website (blog.)

Creating a niche blog was one of the best things I’ve done as an affiliate marketer.

Years ago, I was laid off from a web designer job. I used the layoff as motivation to pursue my dream of becoming a full-time affiliate marketer.

I put up a blog but I didn’t know how to make money with it. Instead of spending time on my own to figure it all out, I searched for an online training program.

Fortunately, I found this one and followed the training step-by-step. Taking action on what I learned helped me to create a successful niche blog.

I was eventually able to transition out of a 9-to-5 job and work on my blog full-time.

Niche blogs work so well for promoting and making money from affiliate products because of the content that you create (blog posts.)

These blog posts are what get indexed and ranked in the search engines like Google and Bing.

Once your blog starts getting web traffic, it has the potential to earn income online.

What You Need to Get Started

There are four things you’ll need to get started:

  • A niche
  • Domain name
  • Web hosting
  • WordPress (it’s free to install)

The niche you’ll be targeting is the eco-friendly niche. However, it helps to subniche whenever possible.

For example, you could focus on eco-friendly and organic lifestyle for families.

Or you could create a blog that focuses on cooking with eco-friendly cookware and organic ingredients.

The more subniche you get, the more targeted of an audience you will attract and that leads to those that are interested in the affiliate products you recommend.

You can get the other three items (domain name, web hosting, and WordPress) from any web hosting provider of your choice.

They can register your domain name, set up your hosting account, and most have one-click WordPress installation.

Writing to Make Affiliate Sales

What makes a blog a blog is content. Writing new blog posts is imperative for a niche blog.

I don’t create a new blog post without doing some keyword phrase research.

All that means is opening up Google Search and typing in keywords related to my niche.

Google’s autosuggest feature will return keyword phrases that searchers are typing in.

You can write blog posts that help answer the questions that your target audience wants answers for.

There are tons of eco-friendly search queries that people type into Google.

Write blog posts that are helpful and recommend the affiliate products that you are an affiliate of.

As you get web traffic, a percentage of your visitors will click on your affiliate links and buy the product you’re recommending from the merchant’s website.

That is how your blog generates income from affiliate programs.

Apply to One or Many Eco-Friendly Affiliate Programs

As far as which eco-friendly affiliate program to join, it is completely up to you. There are no limits on the number of affiliate programs that you can apply to.

Some of these programs will approve you and some may not. You can focus on recommending one specific affiliate product or several of them.

Keep in mind that it helps to have your niche blog up with at least five blog posts before applying to any affiliate program.

Having a niche blog can significantly improve the chances of you being approved right away.

Closing Thoughts

The eco-friendly niche is an evergreen niche as every day, more people are wanting to live a sustainable lifestyle.

As an affiliate marketer, you have the opportunity to introduce people in this niche to some great eco-friendly products.

Creating a niche blog is an ideal option for earning a consistent income online with affiliate marketing.
