Making Money with Gardening Affiliate Programs

My most recommended method for making money with affiliate programs is by creating a niche blog.

A niche blog is a blog that focuses on one specific topic. Gardening would be the niche.

However, you can sub-niche within this niche as well. I like to choose a sub-niche when I create a new blog.

There is typically less competition versus choosing to focus on a broader niche. Here are some ideas for gardening sub-niches:

  • How to grow herbs indoors
  • Gardening in a small apartment
  • Community gardening

A blog that focuses on a subniche can earn just as much and sometimes more than a blog that covers a general niche.

Choose what would be of more interest to you. More than anything, it’s about enjoying your niche so that you can create content (new blog posts) on a regular basis.

It wasn’t until I started a niche blog that I was able to start earning a consistent income online with affiliate marketing.

I wasn’t sure how to make money with a blog when I started so I searched for an online training program.

Fortunately, I found one that was teaching exactly what I needed. After putting into action what I learned within the course, I was able to transition out of a full-time retail job to work full-time on my niche blog.

How to Promote Gardening Affiliate Products

It begins by creating at least 5 to 10 blog posts on your new niche blog. You’ll want to have this done before you begin applying to affiliate programs.

This will significantly increase your chances of being approved for the affiliate programs that you applied for.

Most affiliate programs ask for your website and having several posts already, demonstrates that you are serious about the niche and promoting their products.

After you’ve been approved for the affiliate programs, you can then link to them using your affiliate links.

One of the best ways to boost your conversions is to write product reviews.

You can periodically buy some of the products that you want to promote and write about your experience using them.

Product reviews work really well for boosting affiliate sales. Your readers will want to know if it is worth buying or not.

Reading a product review builds trust. In a way, it is pre-selling your readers on the product.

Think about how often you search for or read product reviews before you make the decision to buy something.

Write About Garden Topics People Are Searching For

Rather than guess what people in the gardening niche are searching for, it is best to do some keyword phrase research.

All it takes to accomplish this is to open up Google Search and begin typing in related keyword phrases.

The autosuggest feature will return results of what people are currently searching for.

This will provide you with plenty of content ideas for your blog. By writing on topics that people are searching for, you have more of an opportunity for your blog to rank for these keywords.
