How to Make Money with Real Estate Affiliate Programs

Now that we’ve covered some of these excellent affiliate programs for real estate, you are likely to want to know how you can earn commissions from them.

I’m not talking about one-off sales here and there. I’m talking about steady commissions month after month. One of the best ways to accomplish this is with a niche website.

Why a niche website? For one thing, they are low-cost and low-risk. You can start for well under $80 – $100 depending on the web hosting provider that you choose.

It’s low-risk because you are not spending money on paid ads to get people to your affiliate links. Niche websites generate free targeted traffic. When I got started, I didn’t know how to make money with a niche website.

I followed some specific online training and it helped me to create a successful niche website. By working consistently on my website, I was able to transition out of a full-time retail job to work on my website full-time.

Choose a Subniche in the Real Estate Niche

The first thing you’ll need to do is to choose a niche within the overall real estate niche. I would choose which product I want to promote and then focus on the questions and concerns of that target audience.

For example, if I were to promote IXACT Contact above, I would create a niche website that provides helpful content about obtaining new leads for real estate agents.

It’s important to focus on a specific niche so that the visitors that come to your website are highly likely to buy the products that you recommend to them.

What You Need to Start

As I mentioned, a niche website is low-cost to start. You only need three things to include:

  • A domain name
  • Web hosting
  • WordPress installed on your account

You can get everything that you need with the most common web hosting companies. My recommended hosting providers include Rocket.net and Siteground.

Maintenance for Steady Income

Understand that a niche website requires content in order to be successful. That means you’ll have to write at least 1 to 2 new blog posts per week. That is easy to do, even with a busy schedule.

I was able to write 3 to 4 new blog posts per week with a 40-hour per week job. You have to be dedicated and have the mindset of running an online business because that is what a niche website is.

Closing Thoughts

Real estate is an evergreen niche and it may be well worth the time and effort to create a niche website dedicated to it.

I recommend choosing the product that you like with good commissions (preferably recurring commissions) and making a website that helps that niche audience.

If you stick with content creation and stay consistent, it will pay off. It wasn’t until I created a niche website of my own that I began to earn steady affiliate commissions.
